This week's problem asks us to think about an odd occurrence when it comes to adding. The focus is on adding three or four consecutive numbers, but it's possible you could expand it to include other combinations. Check it out!
It is not uncommon to find ourselves in a situation where we have a limited amount of money to use and have to weigh our options as to what we can get. This week we will do just that with a focus on two different types of candy that cost two different amounts.
In this week's PoW you are trying to figure out how a diner owner can maximize the number of people that will sit at the 25 stool counter. He has to choose two seats for the first person at the counter could sit at to do so. Check it out and leave a comment if you have an idea!

What are PoWs?Problems of the Week are puzzles, problems and questions I give out in a 4 week cycle. The first three weeks are new problems for students to try. The fourth week is a chance for reflection and an opportunity for students to choose one of the three PoWs to hand in as a showcase of their problem solving abilities. Hand-in OutlineArchives
