It's that time already! This week will be our first hand-in week of the semester. The outline is posted on this page so it can be downloaded. Remember the mark is broken down into 3 categories: Timely Work, Clear Problem Solving, and Reflection and Connection Questions. A basic guide to how these 3 categories are marked is included on the back of the hand-in outline.

This week's PoW is an interesting number challenge. You have the numbers 1 through 19 arranged in a hexagonal shape. The goal is to rearrange the numbers so each row of the hexagon has a sum of 38. Each number can only be used once. Trust me, it is doable! Good luck!
Sorry that this one is late coming! This week's PoW is a classic problem with a farming twist to it where three items need to be transported and the risk is if certain combinations are left alone, something will be eaten. Good luck!
Well ladies and gents, it is time for a new semester so that means it is time for more Problems of the Week! Our first one of the semester returns to the matchstick problems we've dealt with before. This particular one has a starting shape made of squares with 5 challenges to try and produce. Good luck!!

What are PoWs?Problems of the Week are puzzles, problems and questions I give out in a 4 week cycle. The first three weeks are new problems for students to try. The fourth week is a chance for reflection and an opportunity for students to choose one of the three PoWs to hand in as a showcase of their problem solving abilities. Hand-in OutlineArchives
