This week's PoW will be our last of the semester. It is a student-submitted problem and is a bit of a hybrid between a sudoku problem and our Connect the Squares PoW. It's very creative and worth a try! Good luck!!

This week's PoW is a student submitted one from a previous PoW Hand-in. Take the digits 1-4 (2 of each) and use them to make an 8 digit number following a particular set of rules. Give it a try!!
To say something is similar in math actually has a specific meaning. When speaking about shapes, it means they are essentially the same, but most often they differ only in sizing (either one is bigger or smaller). This week's PoW challenges you to find a way to use similar shapes to build a larger shape from smaller, similar ones. Think of making a large Lego piece out of Lego pieces. Good luck!

What are PoWs?Problems of the Week are puzzles, problems and questions I give out in a 4 week cycle. The first three weeks are new problems for students to try. The fourth week is a chance for reflection and an opportunity for students to choose one of the three PoWs to hand in as a showcase of their problem solving abilities. Hand-in OutlineArchives
